3 Must-Have Mini Holiday Desserts

I like sweets as much as the next person, and, in the interest of being totally truthful, I tend to go overboard on dessert during the holidays. Mini desserts make it possible to enjoy a treat while keeping sugar and calories in check. The first few bites of any food taste the best, so why eat more? Here are three of my favorite recipes.

Pumpkin Mousse Minis

Dessert is always better for you when it includes fruit, or, in this case, a vegetable.  With just four ingredients plus spices, pumpkin mousse minis taste like a creamier version of pumpkin pie minus the crust. You don’t have to wait for the holidays to make this mousse, of course. It’s ready in minutes and delicious at any time of year!

Chocolate Raspberry Mini Tarts 

It wouldn’t be the holidays without chocolate. These tiny tarts topped with a single raspberry satisfy your chocolate craving while evoking the season with their vibrant color. Melted dark chocolate is one of just four ingredients in this rich dessert uses prepared phyllo cups to make preparation a snap.

Individual Strawberry Shortcakes 

Holiday partygoers won’t be able to resist these petite beauties whose name reminds me of warmer days to come. To keep it festive, these satisfying sweets use sour cream and fresh strawberries, just like the summer dessert with the same name, only a lot smaller! Pair the cookie-like treats with coffee or a glass of Hood Milk
