It’s January again, and who isn’t trying to eat better after the holidays? Good nutrition is all about what foods to include, not about dietary deprivation. Whole grains, and protein-packed foods, are high on the list of choices that can help whittle your waistline.
Recent research found that swapping refined grains, such as white bread, for whole grains, including oatmeal, prompts the body to absorb fewer calories while boosting calorie-burning. Plus, whole grains have more filling fiber, and other nutrients, than refined grains.
As a high-protein choice, cottage cheese can also help you get back on track with good nutrition. Cottage cheese is packed with protein that keeps you fuller for longer, and cottage cheese is convenient, and versatile.
