Four Fun Ice Cream Recipes

For me, March means summer. It might seem like I’m rushing the seasons just a bit, but once we head into the third month of the year, I can’t stop dreaming about our family vacation plans and all the time I’ll get to spend outdoors. 

It’s never too early to think about the good times you’ll have when the mercury rises, or the fun foods that just seem to go with the warmer weather.  Here are some of my top picks. 

Doesn’t this Chocolate Churro Milkshake look like a party? Kids, and adults, will have a blast decorating tall glasses with colored sprinkles and chocolate syrup, filling them with a cold, creamy blend of Hood Chocolate Churro Ice Cream and Hood Milk, and topping with Hood Instant Whipped Light Cream, cinnamon chips, and chocolate sprinkles.

Purple Panda Ice Cream Cups can be put together in a matter of minutes. The cups, which you can make ahead of time and freeze, get their crunch from crispy rice cereal. Once the cups are completed, just fill them with refreshing Hood Purple Panda Ice Cream, garnish with wafer-thin chocolate cookies, and serve.   

Patriotic Parfaits combine packaged ladyfingers, fresh blueberries and strawberries, and instant pudding made with Hood Milk for a quick, easy, and refreshing dessert that’s perfect any time, but particularly for celebrating Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day.  Feel free to use blackberries, raspberries or any other berry you like.
