Lynnfield, MA (May 30, 2011)

HP Hood, New England's leading dairy company, recognized the winners of the 2nd annual Hood Good Sport® Scholarship Program during a ceremony at Fenway Park on Saturday, May 28th.   The $5,000 scholarship was awarded to three high school seniors from each of the six New England states - Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont - who demonstrated good sportsmanship on and off the field. Hood's total donation was $90,000. More than 2,400 entries were received, which underscores how critical scholarships have become to financing a student's secondary education. Ten finalists in each state were determined by a general public vote, which was followed by in-person interviews by a panel of judges who identified the top three in each state.
