Cheesy Chicken and Artichoke Pasta

• 16 ounces uncooked macaroni, such as ziti
• 3 cups Hood® Whole Milk , divided 
• 6 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp. garlic powder
• 1 tsp. salt 
• 1½ cups shredded 50% reduced-fat sharp cheddar cheese
• ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
• 2 tsp. Dijon mustard 
• 2 14-oz. cans artichokes, drained and quartered
• 2 cups cooked chicken, cut into ½-inch pieces or shredded

For the pasta, place a large pot of water over high heat.  When it comes to a boil, add the pasta and cook according to package directions.

In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, heat 2 ½ cups of milk.  In a small bowl, whisk the remaining ½ cup of milk with flour, garlic powder and salt until well combined.

Add the milk/flour mixture to the milk in the saucepan.  Simmer the milk mixture, whisking constantly , until it's thickened, about three minutes.   Remove from heat and whisk in the cheeses and Dijon mustard. 

Drain the warm pasta and place on a platter or in a large serving bowl.  Add the artichokes and chicken to the pasta and toss.   Add the cheese sauce and combine well.
