Garlic Mashed Potatoes

- 4 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch chunks
- 1 small head of garlic, separated into cloves and peeled
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. fresh ground black pepper
- 1 cup Simply Smart 1% Lowfat Milk
- 2 Tbsp. butter or tub margarine
- fresh snipped chives, optional

DIRECTIONS:directions
Place potatoes and garlic in saucepan. Fill pan with enough water to cover potatoes and garlic completely. Boil potato mixture until potatoes are fork-tender. Drain well. Mash potatoes and garlic until creamy and no lumps remain. Add salt, pepper, milk, and butter, and combine well. Garnish with chives and additional butter, if desired.
