directions
Preheat oven to 375˚F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a small mixing bowl, beat egg lightly by hand. Add eggnog and combine. Reserve.

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Mix well. Cut chilled butter into ½-inch pieces. Add butter to flour mixture. Using clean hands, toss butter with flour mixture until butter is just coated. Rub butter between your thumbs and forefingers to break it into pea-size pieces. (You can also use a pastry blender or two knives to cut the butter into pea-size pieces.)

Add egg/eggnog mixture to flour mixture. Add raisins and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.

Transfer dough to prepared baking sheet and pat into a 12-inch circle. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from baking sheet and cool on a wire cooling rack. Cut into 12 wedges.
