Asparagus with Garlic-Thyme Cream Sauce

- 3 bunches fresh asparagus, ends trimmed (about 30 large spears)
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 clove minced garlic, or more if desired
- 1 ½ tsp. all-purpose flour
- ½ cup Hood Light Cream
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. fresh thyme, or ½ tsp. dried thyme

DIRECTIONS:directions
Fill a large skillet with water and bring to a boil. Cook asparagus until just fork-tender, about 3 minutes. Remove, pat dry, and place on a serving platter. Keep warm.
To make sauce, add butter to a small saucepan. Melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add the flour and cook for two minutes, stirring constantly. Add the cream. Cook for three to five minutes, stirring constantly, until sauce is thickened.
Top asparagus with the cream sauce and serve immediately.
