5 Delicious Recipes for Easter DinnerThe Hood Answer Mom, Elizabeth M. Ward, M.S., R.D.
For me, nothing says Easter like fresh asparagus (and chocolate bunnies, of course!). Even though we eat asparagus at least once a week in our house, it’s always on the table on Easter Sunday.
Topping lightly-cooked asparagus with this delicious cream sauce takes this side dish to the next level. The sauce is ready in minutes, and you can use it with cooked broccoli, carrots, leeks, and even stir it into warm pasta!
There are so many ways to use Hood Cream in recipes for Easter dinner and for every day. Here are just a few of the many recipes using cream to make any holiday dish even better.
Wedge Salad with Blue Cheese Dressing. This salad is much more than a slab of iceberg lettuce. Avocado, hard-cooked eggs, and pancetta add flavor and interest to this side dish. Hint: Make extra blue cheese dressing to have all week long.
Pork Loin with Apples. I always serve pork on Easter. It’s lean, it’s easy to prepare, and everyone in my family loves it. The gravy for this pork entree is packed with flavor and finished with Hood Cream. Yum!
Peanut Butter Mousse. Peanut butter lovers (isn’t that nearly everyone?) will devour this dessert, which is deceivingly simple to prepare. It looks like it takes a lot of time to make, but it’s based on an instant pudding mix to save effort in the kitchen.
Sweet Raspberry Tea Cake. This cake has Spring written all over it! It’s bright, light, and topped with fresh berries. Your guests will gobble it up. Pair it with fresh, hot coffee and Hood Cream, of course!
