  • STEP 1

    Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat.

    Add the onions and sauté until soft, about 4 minutes. Add the flour and stir until blended.

    Add the cream and milk.

    Cook, uncovered, over low heat until soup thickens, about 15 minutes, stirring often. Add the cayenne pepper, paprika, salt, and lobster and cook for another 3 to 5 minutes.

  • STEP 5

    Serve warm, garnished with thyme.
