Hot Fudge Sauce
- 8 oz. dark chocolate chip
- 2/3 cup Hood® Heavy Cream
- 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Combine chocolate chips, cream, vanilla extract and a small pinch of salt in a large heat-safe bowl. Place over a pot of simmering water, making sure that the water does not touch the bottom of the bowl. Stir slowly with a spoon until the chocolate chips have melted and the mixture is smooth.
Pour into a sealable glass jar and refrigerate. Reheat in a double boiler or microwave on low at 15-second intervals, stirring in-between until warm enough to pour.
Add additional flavors like ground cinnamon (1/4 tsp.), or ground cayenne pepper (1/8 tsp.), or extracts, such as pure vanilla or peppermint (1/2 tsp. of either flavor) as desired.
